Early on in her professional career, Dr. Karon Graves centered her energy around working with vulnerable populations within the community. Her passion to serve others began in Massachusetts (1991), in Early Childhood Education where she served in various capacities from teacher to educational resource coordinator. She continued to expand her career and spent some years working with developmentally disabled adults.

In 2002 Dr. Graves began her career in Child Welfare providing direct services to children and families with the State of Connecticut Department of Children and Families. During her tenure with the State of Connecticut Department of Children and Families, she served in many social work and supervisor roles for over thirteen years of service. In 2015, after relocating to North Carolina, she continued her work in child welfare where she continues to serve with over twenty years of service overall.

Dr. Graves is an adoptive parent after fostering a relative placement for six years in Massachusetts. During her time serving as a relative foster parent, she became a CASAcertified Guardian ad Litem in an effort to advocate for timely permanency outcomes for children in the foster care system.

Dr. Karon Graves is a graduate of Springfield College where she earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s of Science in Human Services. She holds a PhD in Chrisitan Leadership from the Purpose Zeal Bible College & Seminary. Her additional educational experience includes doctoral studies in counseling. Dr. Graves is a Certified Recovery Life Coach and holds several other certifications related to Early Childhood Education.

Dr. Graves is the founder of Push Towards Purpose Supportive Services, LLC, which is a recovery life coaching company founded on the belief that everyone deserves the support and guidance needed to achieve their desired goals. They strive to help individuals who have been impacted by trauma and life stress-related challenges to make positive changes in their lives. Their experienced team of professionals provide the best possible service to their clients, ensuring that they are wellsupported and have the tools and resources to work towards their goals. She is passionate about helping people find their purpose and take the necessary steps to achieve success. She committed to helping our clients create the life they desire and deserve. Dr. Graves has published a Coaching Workbook to assist others along their journey.

With over twenty years dedicated to the field of Human Services, Dr. Graves works and volunteers in her community. As she continues to be of service to others to implement change. She has been active in various communities in multiple states because of her care, compassion, and dedication to humanity.

Most importantly, Dr. Graves loves the Lord. At an early age, she gave her life to the Lord and was baptized at the age of eight-years-old. Her passion for God, church, and family has been her guiding light. She has served in several ministries over the years from Sunday School Teacher, Praise and Worship Leader, Usher, Choir member, Women’s Day Chair, Executive Director of The Food Bank, and Trustee.
